Joanna Layla is a London-based artist whose artistic style combines elements of fashion illustration with fine art figuration. The women in Joanna’s artworks appear both familiar and aspirational, confident and contemplative. For her Spacey series, Joanna created pieces in a neutral and golden color palette that feels serene yet empowering, like the warm glow of a late summer afternoon. Joanna plays with translucencies, negative space, and feathery brushwork to bring together the figures, their environments, and the viewer into an immersive, ambient world. 

Joanna has worked with numerous brands, publications, and organizations including Dior, Alberta Ferretti, London Fashion Week, The Guardian, and University of the Arts London. She is represented by fine art galleries in London and France, and has exhibited works internationally.
