Gracey Zhang is an illustrator born in Vancouver, Canada and based in New York, NY. Gracey graduated with her BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design and has since collaborated with top brands such as New York Times, Vice, and Soho House. Her work has been featured in publications like The New York Times and CBC Radio and was given recognition by The Society of Illustrators 2015 Student Show, American Illustration 34, and Latin American Ilustración 5.
Often combining watercolor and pencil, Gracey creates playful and lively illustrations that transport us into magical worlds. Inspired by her environment and the small gestures between people, Gracey uses quick and loose brushstrokes to capture the ephemeral quality of daily life.
