Hi Abby, tell us more about you and what you do!
I'm a full time product designer and part time lifestyle blogger. In my career, I work on making digital apps better and easier to use. I love solving problems for people and making their lives easier though digital products.
How do you find a creative outlet through work?
My side hustle as a blogger is my major creative outlet. I love creating expressive outfits, putting together unique clothing combinations, and connecting with other fashion lovers in my community. I love telling a story through design, whether through clothing or the arrangement/collection of objects in a room.
Where are you based?
I live in Northern California. I moved into my house almost 2 years ago with my partner, from a TINY one-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn.
Where does your Spacey art live within your home?
"Breakfast in Bed" is in our bedroom - our sanctuary. So having this stunning artwork on the wall of my favorite room is really special to me.
We love that! Why did you select this space?
The late afternoon light in our bedroom is magical (we also have a solar powered rainbow maker - look it up!) which makes for the loveliest rainbow showers in the later afternoon/early evening.
When is your favorite moment to look at your artwork?
My favorite thing is walking into the bedroom after a long workday and see our beautiful art piece bathed in rainbows and golden hour sunlight.
That sounds magical. When you look at "Breakfast in Bed" during this time, how does it make you feel?
This piece feels both dreamy and adventurous to me. The things that most stand out are the shapes, textures and lines of this piece.
